Save note files the idea with the metronome's current settings and clears the pad — the emptied pad is the confirmation, and Apply on any saved note sets the metronome back to that moment. Export writes one .atchart.md: anything still in the pad rides on top as uncommitted scratch, saved notes are committed. Import merges one back; Copy puts the same file on the clipboard.
